151 Bar
One of the few bars in the Lower East Side that really epitomizes that grungy image everyone still has of the LES. The decor is 70ts mod mixed in with just good ol dive bar appeal. 151 seems like the kind of place Alex and his droogs would drink at before a nite of pol and ultraviolence. These Clockwork Orange references won’t be lost on its clientele who is old enough to be born around the time the movie came out. On weekend nights this place can be a haven away from the horrors of the frat infested rocker version of the Meatpacking District that has become of the LES. I once spotted a Ministry band member there. And the ratio guys to girls is pretty good if you are a girl into the pyahnitsa rocker type.
