Pocha 32

Picture 1A unique bar + restaurant in the heart of K-Town. Serving up an extensive menu with many hard to find Korean dishes. Plus, shochu or soju! -a beverage distilled from barley, sweet potatoes, or rice containing 25% alcohol by volume. But, hey it’s the stuff that goes down easy you gotta be careful about. Especially if you get the watermelon soju, which is served in a hollowed out half watermelon. Mmmmm! So good! Hey, maybe it’s a contributing factor as to why Koreans consume more alcohol per capita than any other country in the world. BTW: It’s customary in Korea to pour a drink with your right hand and place your left hand under your right elbow to support it. And when you go to Pocha, don’t forget to write a note to commemorate your night and tie it to the net with a sochu cap tie, that’s customary at Pocha too (see net above). Overall Pocha is a rocking unpretentious good time that also happens to close till 6 AM! So Mashi-go chuk-ja (a typical Korean toast meaning “Let’s drink and die”)
